My name is Jadyn Edwards. I'm here to tell you about my family's experience with hunger.
Earlier this week, 13-year-old Jadyn was brave enough to share his family's struggle with hunger. He did so in an effort to preserve support for food banks and programs like SNAP (food stamps) that ensure thousands of families, like his, have enough to eat. We thank Jadyn for his courage and candor.

On Friday, June 7, Grocery Outlet, the largest “extreme-value” grocer in the U.S., made a donation of nearly 21,000 pounds of fresh apples to Oregon Food Bank to help feed the hungry in the local community.

Oregon Food Bank received a 2013 Innovation Award in food banking at the annual Feeding America Network Executive Directors' Forum this week in Nashville. Feeding America presents the award to the year’s most innovative programs from the 202 food banks across the nation in the Feeding America network.

House Agriculture Committee’s approximate $21 billion cut to SNAP will threaten children and families who are struggling with hunger.
Oregon Food Bank responded sharply today to a proposal from the House Agriculture Committee that would limit access to hunger-relief benefits during a time of unprecedented need in our region.
