Hunger Action Month: Hunger is a Policy Choice

This September is Hunger Action Month — a time when people across the country take action to end hunger. Hunger starts with policy — and it can end there too.

Hunger isn’t a personal failure, it’s a policy failure

The laws our elected officials make — about wages, food assistance, housing, childcare, healthcare — decide who can afford basic needs and who can’t.

If we work together we have the power to make the policy changes our communities need.
