True Story

Anderson dreams about food
Jez Anderson still dreams about food. It's been several years since the 32-year-old Portlander has struggled to put food on the table, but Anderson has become an eloquent spokesperson and activist for the cause of hunger.

Your dollar multiplies
For every $1 you contribute, Oregon Food Bank moves five pounds of food through its food distribution program.

Your gift matters
Your $10 contribution helps Oregon Food Bank collect and distribute enough food to fill an emergency food box. A typical emergency food box provides enough food for a family of four for three-to five-days.

Your generous contribution enables food to flow through Oregon Food Bank's four distribution centers in Portland, Hillsboro, southeast Oregon and Tillamook and to 16 independent regional food banks. This food reaches 919 local hunger-relief agencies in Oregon and Clark County, Wash.

Thanks to you, Oregon Food Bank truck drivers are on the road daily, collecting and delivering food ... because no one should be hungry.

Making the most of every dollar
Of every dollar you donate, less than 5 percent is used for administration and fundraising costs.

Many ways to give

The choice is yours. Oregon Food Bank has created giving options to meet the interests of our donors and friends. Read more >

Feinstein challenge to help fight hunger

The Alan Shawn Feinstein Foundation of Rhode Island will add money to every donation made to OFB between March 1 and April 30, 2008. The amount of the match depends on the amount OFB raises during the two months and the total amount raised by all participating nonprofit, hunger-relief agencies. The foundation will give away $1 million. But it will divide the money according to each agency's portion of the total amount raised.
