ABC sends kids home with a loaf of bread

We distribute one free loaf of bread once a week to every student at targeted schools and childrens centers in the Portland Metro area. ABC prevents this valuable food from being sent to the landfill.

Oregon Food Bank supports other community food programs, including:

• Gleaning programs and community gardens that help low-income people improve their self-reliance and build social connections
• Nutrition Education to help low-income people make the most of their precious food dollars
• Community Basket, a member-run supplemental food program for low-income families
• Harvest Share recovers fresh fruit and vegetables and distributes them to low-income people.
