At Oregon Harvest Dinner, our annual fundraising event, we shared stories of lived experiences from community members, and voices of those working to eliminate root causes of hunger, from legislative action and fighting systemic inequities, to nutrition education and community support.

But I would argue poverty itself has a root cause, and it is systemic inequities.
