Oregon Food Bank Concerned About the Impact of Federal Admnistration's Executive Orders on Our Community

At Oregon Food Bank, we are deeply concerned that the executive orders issued by the federal administration—which target refugees and immigrants, Transgender and gender-expansive people, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) programs, and the constitutional right to citizenship—will significantly impact the most vulnerable members of our society.

These orders will worsen hunger in our communities, impacting Oregon Food Bank’s primary equity constituencies, in particular, Immigrants and refugees and Trans and gender-expansive folks.

While these orders have created an atmosphere of fear within our communities, we must remain united and mobilize to achieve food justice by passing Food for All Oregonians. Immigration status should not exclude anyone from being able to feed themselves and their families. We ask our community to submit public testimony to help pass Food For All Oregonians!

By focusing our energy on achieving food justice, we are Rising for All… because fear does not belong in our community.
