State’s Leading Human Service Providers, Food Systems & Community Organizations Issue Call for Legislators to End the Walkout

More than 30 prominent human service providers, local food systems and community-based organizations from across the state have issued a clear call for legislators to end the walkout. As stated in their letter to legislative leaders, these organizations serve hundreds of thousands of Oregonians facing hardship. And like all of us at Oregon Food Bank, they are increasingly concerned with the impact the ongoing stall tactics will have on our communities.

The call comes as our state stares down a rapidly-approaching end of the legislative session with no action on policies and funding that are vital to people struggling with hunger, poverty and houselessness across the state. We continue to urge legislators to return to the capitol, find common ground and get to work on critical statewide issues.

Join these leaders in urging legislators to return to the capital and pass policies that support Oregonians facing hardship.
