CORPORATE DONOR OF THE MONTH: PGE

NOVEMBER 2017 – Portland General Electric is a champion of ending hunger and demonstrates this through a variety of support for Oregon Food Bank. As a result, we are recognizing their financial contribution and volunteerism throughout the year as our Corporate Donor of the Month.

“Our Employee Giving Campaign is one of my favorite times of the year because it showcases how dedicated we are to being great neighbors in the communities where we live and work. I am proud to say 2017 marked the ninth campaign in a row where our employees donated more than $1 million dollars to organizations we are passionate about, and Oregon Food Bank was the top recipient.”

-Jim Piro, CEO, Portland General Electric

PGE and its employees continue to engage with the mission of Oregon Food Bank and have done so for more than 20 years. You can find them regularly repacking food in our Volunteer Action Center. Additionally, they generously support Oregon Food Bank through their annual Employee Giving Campaign – resulting in approximately $75,000 annually, including PGE’s company match.

Furthering their commitment to eliminate hunger, the PGE Foundation contributes to our hunger prevention programs like our Nutrition and Garden programs, which help build food skills, resiliency and community for participants.

We are honored to be a partner with PGE and thank you and your employees for your extraordinary commitment to Oregon Food Bank!
