CORPORATE DONOR OF THE MONTH: Bank of America

FEBRUARY 2017 – We are proud to recognize Bank of America and its employees as our Corporate Donor of the Month for its ongoing commitment to our mission.

“One of Bank of America’s core philanthropic drivers is working to address hunger relief locally, and our longtime partnership with Oregon Food Bank helps individuals and families so they can build a more stable future.”

-Roger Hinshaw, Oregon and Southwest Washington Market President, Bank of America

Bank of America’s commitment to growing their business responsibly is embedded in every aspect of the company, which is evident in how it continues to be a pivotal partner in the fight to eliminate hunger and its root causes. Not only does the bank cut a big check, it engages its employees, customers, and other businesses to participate in the work as well. For the sixth straight year, Bank of America was the presenting sponsor of Oregon Food Bank’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service where hundreds of volunteers dedicated their day off to helping others.

And not just during MLK Day, Bank of America employees volunteer on a regular basis and donate money and food through various drives throughout the year. The bank is also effective at encouraging customers to join them in their support of Oregon Food Bank. They work with local television stations to air public service advertisements to build awareness of the hunger crisis.

Thank you, Bank of America and its employees, for your ongoing support of Oregon Food Bank!
