— Andrea Williams, Oregon Food Bank PresidentPartnerships like the KGW Great Food Drive are essential to ensuring families don’t have to choose between essentials like putting food on the table, a roof over their heads or paying a medical bill. Their support helps provide nourishing food that feels like home to our communities. We know that now is a moment when Oregon can lead the way in making sure our communities are connected and supported... because no one should be hungry.

Meeting growing need with the KGW Great Food Drive
Last year, we saw 2.5 million visits to food assistance sites through the Oregon Food Bank Network — a 31% increase from the previous year. This is a record number of visits. This means many of us don’t know where our next meal will come from. At a time when food assistance is under threat at the federal level, our communities are showing up to ensure no one goes hungry.
This year, we're celebrating the 22nd anniversary of the KGW Great Food Drive. Community Cultivators are engaged organizations who lead the way in advancing food justice; KGW is a dedicated partner in changing the future of hunger through the KGW Great Food Drive and that's why we've selected them as the Community Cultivator for March 2025. Getting involved has never been more important.
For every dollar you donate, Oregon Food Bank can provide three meals worth of food — much more than an individual shopper can purchase at the store. Equally important is your time — our Network runs on volunteer power and our anti-hunger advocacy efforts depend on community members reaching out and making our priorities known.
We hope everyone able will join us and contribute in whatever way is meaningful to you. Together, we can end hunger for good in our communities!
