CORPORATE DONOR OF THE MONTH: PGE

OCTOBER 2018 – This month, we are proud to recognize Portland General Electric as our Corporate Donor of the Month.

“PGE and its employees care about giving back to the communities where we live, work and play – helping power the full potential of all Oregonians. Each year we proudly volunteer almost 50,000 hours and donate more than $2 million to support the incredible work of nonprofits like the Oregon Food Bank.”

– Maria Pope, President and CEO, Portland General Electric

PGE and its employees are devoted to the mission of Oregon Food Bank. Annually, PGE holds their Employee Giving Campaign where Oregon Food Bank is a featured nonprofit. Last year, PGE employees, alongside their company match, raised an astonishing $87,000 through their Employee Giving Campaign, a nearly 20% increase from previous years that will have a significant impact in the community.

PGE and PGE employees have supported Oregon Food Bank for over 20 years through their workplace giving, food and fund drives, sponsorship of our annual fundraiser Oregon Harvest Dinner and regular volunteerism.

Additionally, the PGE Foundation provides a grant to support our Nutrition and Garden Education programs working to build food skills, resiliency and community for participants.

Many thanks to PGE and your employees for continuing your partnership with Oregon Food Bank to ensure no one is hungry and we feed the human spirit!
