Corporate Donor of the Month: Nike

NOVEMBER 2019 – Oregon Food Bank is proud to recognize Nike as the November Corporate Donor of the Month.

For decades, Nike and its employees have contributed greatly to the community of Oregonians who face hunger today, while working to end the systemic barriers that perpetuate hunger tomorrow.

Nike employees have contributed to eradicating hunger in a multitude of ways including contributing to on-campus food drives, serving on the Oregon Food Bank Board of Directors, and providing much-needed sponsorships for fundraising events. Nike continues to show its commitment to ending hunger and its root causes.

In the past year, Nike and its employees donated over $121,000 through their matching employee giving campaign and financially supported Oregon Harvest Dinner, as well as a $25,000 grant from the NIKE Foundation. Additionally, they contributed over 900 volunteer hours and five tons of food.

“As an Oregon-founded company, giving back to community organizations like Oregon Food Bank is a big part of who we are. The mission of Oregon Food Bank – to eliminate hunger and its root causes – is fundamental to the health, happiness and success of all Oregonians, and we’re proud to support this important work.”

Thank you, Nike, for working to end hunger in our community!
