CORPORATE DONOR OF THE MONTH: Ford Motor Company

May 2019 – With its significant contributions towards fighting childhood hunger in Oregon and Clark County Washington, Oregon Food Bank is proud to recognize Ford Motor Company as the corporate donor of the month for May.

“Ford Motor Company Fund partners with organizations that strive to make the world a better place by caring for people in a healthy way, recognizing that every person’s story is different, and every person makes a difference. The Oregon Food Bank continues to care for the people of Oregon in a holistic way, utilizing its resources with high integrity and efficiency.”

– Kristin Ford, Program Manager, Ford Motor Company Fund

Thank you Ford Motor Company Fund for your ongoing commitment to eliminating child hunger. Last year Ford supported the purchase of nearly 2.3 million servings of nutritious, kid-friendly foods. Imagine: four full truckloads of oats, two of milk, and one of applesauce. That is five tractor trailers full of food for children struggling with hunger all over Oregon and Clark County, Washington!

Last year, Northwest Ford Dealers and Ford Motor Company Fund hosted their fourth annual Ford Peanut Butter Drive and collected more than 75,000 pounds of peanut butter in May and June to help food banks meet the summer demand for the desirable, kid-friendly food. Additionally, Ford employees contribute through their time, by volunteering with Oregon Food Bank and the Oregon Food Bank Network.

Thank you Ford Motor Company for all you do to help end hunger and feed the human spirit!
