Celebrating Bloom: An Oregon Food Bank Gala Recap

A Heartfelt Thank You

Oregon Food Bank extends our deepest gratitude to everyone who participated in our 2024 gala, Bloom. Whether you joined us in person or tuned in online, your presence and support made this event a tremendous success!

Raising $425,000 Together

Thanks to your collective action and generosity, we raised an outstanding $425,000! This remarkable contribution is crucial to achieving our mission: ending hunger and its root causes. Every dollar will support distributing culturally appropriate food, building equitable food systems, and working with communities as we overcome systemic barriers to food access.

Inspiring Speakers

We are so grateful for our esteemed speakers — Andrea Williams (She/Her), Susannah Morgan (She/Her), Nathan Harris (They/Them), Jeff Prelle (He/Him), Maxi Hernandez (She/Her) and Aldo Solano Mendez (He/Him). Their insightful contributions added depth and inspiration. If you missed their highlights, catch up on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn or watch the full production at the link here.

Continued Support and Action

Our work doesn’t stop with Bloom. We invite you to support the movement to end hunger by taking meaningful action. Whether that is completing the Food For All Oregonians (FFAO) Supporter Pledge, learning from immigrant and refugee communities, or exploring other ways to get involved. Your ongoing commitment is crucial!

Philanthropy as Love in Action

At our event, Nathan Harris spoke about philanthropy as love in action for the greater good.
