SEPTEMBER = Hunger Action Month

September 1, 2016 – This September Oregon Food Bank, together with the Feeding America nationwide network of food banks, will mobilize across all 50 states in an effort to bring an end to hunger. Hunger Action Month is designed to inspire people to take action and raise awareness of the fact that 42.2 million Americans, including 13 million children, are food insecure, according to the USDA.

In Oregon and Clark County, Washington, 1 in 5 people struggle with hunger and may not know where they’ll find their next meal.

We believe no one should be hungry. We believe that TOGETHER, WE CAN SOLVE HUNGER.

TAKE ACTION:

  • SPREAD AWARENESS. Share our social media posts, or display a yard sign. (Currently available for pick-up at our NE 33rd location.)
  • DONATE. For every $10 donation, we can provide 30 meals to our neighbors experiencing hunger.
  • VOLUNTEER. Sign up for a volunteer shift.
  • ADVOCATE. Join our Action Alert email list.
