Construction Is Underway on Our New Home

Columbia Gorge Food Bank is nearly halfway through renovations at our new warehouse and Community Food Center! A much-needed resource for the community, this new home not only positions CGFB to expand food assistance today, but also works to create long-term food security for the entire region.

Opening in late 2022, our new 11,000-square-foot permanent home at 3525 Crates Way in The Dalles will boast a learning kitchen for classes, farmer and donation repack area for volunteer days, and hybrid meeting space for community partners to host workshops, trainings and more. Co-locating in the Community Food Center will be Windy River Gleaners Food Pantry and The Dalles Community Backpack Program. These independent organizations will continue to serve the community, benefitting from the new infrastructure and increased space to grow.
